Power BI for TFS Reporting – Execution Summary

My Azure Devops's avatarPosted by

To continue our journey to use Power BI for TFS Reporting, I would like to share some templates for TFS administrators.

Report: Execution Summary

This report is to help TFS Admin answering questions like performance, response time, how we use TFS in which capacity, by whom, trends, and outliner, etc. Keep in mind that Power BI is an analytical tool providing models to help business decisions and not just a report. So feel free to slice and dice it in different ways to find patterns and bottleneck, etc. to best help your teams to comprehend usage and plan for the future.

The middle three indicators (gauge, card, and KPI) are for future integration between Power BI and Flow. You can use any of them to create data alerts in Power BI Service  and/or triggers in Flow. Pick and choose whatever works better for you.

You can find the template file HERE. Just open it with Power BI Desktop and enter the server, database name, and your own credential then wait for the data to load.
